The 2027 Toyota Tundra will start at $42,890, the same figure that appeared on a dealer pricing sheet two weeks before Toyota made it official.

The refreshed full-size pickup gets a new front end, a new steering wheel, a factory Trailhunter package built on the SR5, new FOX shocks for the TRD Pro and a 14-inch touchscreen on every grade. Toyota says the truck is expected at dealerships in the fall of 2026. The i-FORCE MAX hybrid returns unchanged, with 437 horsepower, 583 lb-ft of torque and a 12,000-pound maximum tow rating.

The details come from Toyota’s 2027 Tundra launch release, published November 5, a day after the company put out the matching 2027 Sequoia release. The $42,890 starting price confirms the base SR figure on the 2027 pricing sheet that surfaced in late October, which also showed every trim rising between 0.8 and 4.7 percent and both rear-drive hybrid Limiteds being dropped. Toyota’s release gives only the starting price, so the rest of the sheet remains unconfirmed for now.

The Trailhunter package is the headline addition. It is based on the SR5 and brings Michelin LTX Trail 265/70R18 tires, Old Man Emu suspension, front recovery hooks and extra underbody protection, along with four-wheel drive, a locking rear differential, Crawl Control and Multi-Terrain Select. Bronze-colored wheels, Trailhunter badging and color-selectable fog lamps set it apart on the outside, and Toyota pitches it as a starting point for an overland build using its own accessories. That is the same recipe Toyota applied to the Sequoia a day earlier and to the Tacoma and 4Runner before it.

The TRD Pro gets newly designed, Tundra-tuned FOX QS3 adjustable shocks, standard red tow hooks, a brighter integrated light bar and fog lights, and the new Honeycomb exterior color. Available ISO-dynamic seats, the body-mounted seats first seen on the Tacoma and 4Runner TRD Pro, are offered inside.

Every 2027 Tundra gets the latest Toyota Audio Multimedia system on a standard 14-inch touchscreen with AT&T 5G connectivity, a configurable home screen and an always-on Quick Control shortcut menu. A 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster is now standard across the lineup, and so is the built-in Drive Recorder dash cam, which Toyota says is its first camera that can play 20-second clips back on the touchscreen. The system runs on Arene, the software platform from Woven by Toyota that supports over-the-air updates, and every grade comes with a five-year trial of Remote Connect, Safety Connect and Service Connect.

A few practical changes land further down the spec sheet. The 32.2-gallon fuel tank is now standard on every grade, as are a tow hitch and a seven-and-four-pin connector, and a 2.4-kW onboard inverter is available for powering tools and tailgates. The release also lists a new combination of adaptive dampers and air suspension available across all grades, plus a suite of trailer-assist systems that we cover in a separate story. The warranty is unchanged. It runs three years or 36,000 miles basic, five years or 60,000 miles on the powertrain, eight years or 100,000 miles on hybrid components and ten years or 150,000 miles on the hybrid battery.

The Toyota Report Take

The leaked sheet called the price, so the real news here is the Trailhunter. Toyota has now put the overland package on the Tacoma, the 4Runner, the Sequoia and the Tundra, and the SR5 base keeps it well below the TRD Pro, which topped $75,000 on that same sheet. A truck with Old Man Emu suspension, a locker and real tires from the factory is the Tundra a lot of buyers were building in the aftermarket anyway. What Toyota still owes us is the full price list, because a 32-gallon tank and a 14-inch screen on the SR are nice, but the SR was also the trim that took the biggest increase on that sheet.
