Getting Into a 2027 Toyota Sequoia Now Costs $5,875 More
The cheapest 2027 Toyota Sequoia costs $69,900, which is $5,875 more than the cheapest Sequoia sold for 2026.
The cheapest 2027 Toyota Sequoia costs $69,900, which is $5,875 more than the cheapest Sequoia sold for 2026.
The jump comes from Toyota dropping rear-wheel drive, so the 4×2 SR5 that started the lineup at $64,025 is gone and the 4×4 SR5 becomes the new base model. The same thing happens one step up, where buyers who chose the 4×2 Limited at $69,795 now start at $75,500 with the 4×4 Limited, a $5,705 difference.
The figures come from a 2027 pricing sheet posted to Reddit, dated October 23. Toyota has not published official 2027 pricing, but the sheet’s 2026 prices match the 2026 launch prices on every line.

Four-wheel drive was a $3,000 option on the SR5 and the Limited for 2026, so roughly half of the jump is the drivetrain buyers can no longer skip. The rest is a straight price hike, with the 4×4 SR5 going up $2,875 and the 4×4 Limited $2,705 on their own.

The SR5 does get more for the money. Toyota’s announcement of the 2027 Sequoia makes a 14-inch touchscreen and Toyota Safety Sense 4.0 standard on every grade, and it adds an available Trailhunter package for the SR5 with Old Man Emu suspension, Michelin all-terrain tires and a locking rear differential. The sheet doesn’t list a price for that package.
The Toyota Report Take
At nearly $70,000 before delivery, the cheapest Sequoia is now in a different price bracket than it was a year ago. The extra screen and safety tech help, but buyers shopping on price will find the three-row Grand Highlander a lot easier to justify.
