Lexus’s 402-HP Electric SUV Undercuts the RX 500h by $10,180

The quickest 2027 Lexus RZ, the 402-horsepower RZ 550e F SPORT, costs $58,770 including delivery, which is $10,180 less than Lexus charges for the RX 500h F SPORT Performance.

Lexus says the RZ 550e F SPORT reaches 60 mph in 4.1 seconds, and its price went up only $375 for 2027 while the rest of the RZ line rose $100 to $375. The front-drive RZ 350e now starts at $47,495, and the 550e F SPORT costs $275 more than the RZ 450e Luxury, after the two shared a $58,395 price for 2026.

Lexus released the prices with the 2027 RZ announcement on October 26, and the RX 500h’s $68,950 price comes from Lexus’s 2027 pricing sheet. The 2026 RZ prices are from Lexus’s 2026 pricing sheet, and every price includes delivery, processing and handling.

The lineup carries over with 221 horsepower in the front-drive RZ 350e, 308 in the RZ 450e and 402 in the RZ 550e F SPORT. Lexus estimates 301 miles of range for the RZ 350e and 260 for the RZ 450e on 18-inch wheels, and about 229 miles for the 550e F SPORT on 20-inch wheels, ahead of official EPA ratings.

Every RZ has a NACS charging port and a 14-inch touchscreen, and Lexus says a DC fast charger takes the battery from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes under ideal conditions. The RZ is built at Toyota’s Motomachi plant in Japan and reaches dealers early next year.

The catch is its estimated 229 miles of range, which is fine for commuting but makes it a harder sell for buyers who road-trip often.
