The base Toyota Tundra SR takes the largest price increases of any 2027 Tundra.
Every SR goes up $1,630 to $1,965, or 3.5% to 4.7%. The 4×2 SR Double Cab with the 6.5-foot bed, the cheapest Tundra, moves from $41,260 to $42,890, and the 8.1-foot-bed version jumps $1,965 to $43,555, the biggest percentage increase on the sheet.
The prices come from a 2027 pricing sheet posted to Reddit. Toyota has not published official 2027 pricing.

The SR5, by contrast, rises only $440 to $640, or 0.8% to 1.4%, so the step from SR to SR5 shrinks from $5,250 to $4,260. That holds across cabs: a 4×4 CrewMax SR is $47,890 and the matching SR5 is $52,150, the same $4,260 gap.

That $4,260 buys more than trim, because the SR’s twin-turbo V6 is rated at 348 horsepower and 405 lb-ft of torque, while the SR5 gets 389 horsepower and 479 lb-ft from the same engine, according to published specs. That’s 41 more horsepower and 74 more lb-ft of torque for $4,260.

The Toyota Report Take
The SR exists to hit a starting price, and fleet and work-truck buyers will pay the increase because they need the truck, but retail buyers have less reason to. With the gap down to $4,260 and 74 lb-ft of torque on the table, the SR5 is the better buy for anyone who tows or hauls with a Tundra they’re paying for themselves.
