The most expensive Toyota Alphard in Japan, on sale since early 2025, seats only four, and it fills the extra space with a refrigerator, a clothes rack and a privacy curtain.
The van is called the Spacious Lounge. It sits above the Executive Lounge at the top of the range, was developed by Toyota Auto Body, which also builds the Alphard, and went on sale in Japan on January 31, 2025, as a hybrid or plug-in hybrid with E-Four all-wheel drive. It isn’t sold in the United States, where Toyota’s minivan is the Sienna, and neither is the Alphard-based Lexus LM.
Kuruma News reported prices of 12,720,000 yen for the hybrid and 14,800,000 yen for the plug-in, including tax. The van is aimed at chauffeur-driven buyers, and the rear cabin is built around two seats with about 420 mm more legroom than the base car, power ottomans that slide forward and back, and speakers built into the headrests.

Behind the front seats sits a large refrigerator and a floor tray for bags. A fabric curtain separates the two rows for privacy, and a removable hanger in the cargo area holds up to nine garments so passengers can change on the way to an event. Kuruma News said the cargo area still has room for four golf bags.
Buyers can choose Platinum White Pearl Mica, Black or Precious Blonde paint with a Neutral Beige or Black interior, and Toyota offers paint protection film in a semi-matte or clear gloss finish as an option. Toyota’s launch announcement described the Spacious Lounge as a chauffeur-focused model based on the Executive Lounge.

The Toyota Report Take
The Spacious Lounge is Toyota’s answer to the long-wheelbase luxury sedan, and for a company car with a driver it makes more sense than one, with more headroom and an easier step in. A van like this would struggle in the US, where buyers in this price range shop SUVs, but it shows how seriously Toyota takes the chauffeur market at home.
