The 2027 Lexus NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid makes 324 horsepower, up from 304 for 2026.
The 2027 Lexus NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid makes 324 horsepower, up from 304 for 2026.
The gain comes from a new 203-horsepower front motor generator, which replaces a 180-horsepower unit, while the rear motor is rated at 54 horsepower. A new lithium-ion battery has 8% more output and 8% more capacity.
Lexus released the figures, which it calls preliminary, in its 2027 NX announcement on October 20. EPA ratings will come closer to the on-sale date.

Lexus estimates 45 miles of electric range for every 2027 NX 450h+ grade, up from the 2026 model’s EPA rating of 37 miles. Its fuel economy estimates are 39/35/37 mpg city/highway/combined, or 38/34/36 mpg for the F SPORT.
The NX 450h+ comes in Premium, Premium+, F SPORT and Luxury grades, all with all-wheel drive, and is built in Kyushu, Japan. DC fast charging is now standard, with a NACS-style charging port, and Lexus hasn’t announced pricing.
The Toyota Report Take
Twenty more horsepower is nice, but the eight extra miles of electric range matter more. At an estimated 45 miles, the NX 450h+ covers more daily driving on electricity than it did for 2026, and that’s the reason to pay for a plug-in over the NX 350h.
