Lexus is dropping the gas-only NX 350 for 2027.
The 2026 NX 350 used a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder rated at 275 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque, with an eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. It was the last NX without a hybrid system. The front-drive NX 250 had already left after the 2025 model year.
Lexus says in its 2027 NX announcement that the NX "will move to a 100% electrified lineup," and lists only the NX 350h and NX 450h+. The NX 350’s output comes from Lexus’s 2026 NX release, and the EPA’s 2026 listings include no NX 250.

The closest replacement is the NX 350h with all-wheel drive. Lexus rates the 2027 version at a preliminary 244 horsepower, 31 less than the NX 350, and estimates 38 mpg combined. The EPA rated the 2026 NX 350 at 24 mpg combined.
That gap is worth real money, since on 2026 EPA figures the estimated annual fuel cost is $3,300 for the NX 350 and $2,050 for the NX 350h AWD, a difference of $1,250 a year.
Buyers who want more power than the NX 350 offered now have to step up to the NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid, rated at a preliminary 324 horsepower. Lexus hasn’t announced 2027 pricing for either model.
The Toyota Report Take
The NX 350 was the NX for people who cared more about acceleration than fuel economy, and Lexus no longer sells one. Most buyers won’t miss it, because the hybrid gives up 31 horsepower but saves about $1,250 a year in fuel, while the ones who will miss it now have to look at the plug-in, whose price will decide how many of them stay with the NX.
